Andy Matthews Biography
Andy began professionally as a singer/songwriter in the late 80s, before later making his way into TV working as a bit part actor appearing in shows such as Eastenders, The Bill, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles and various feature films including James Bonds Tomorrow Never Dies, Eyes Wide Shut and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
From there he began to appear in many early pre-most haunted paranormal based TV shows such as UKTVs six-part series Ghost Detectives (2000), Ghost Watch LIVE from the Tower of London (BBC Worldwide 2001) and C4s Secrets of the Psychics. His first presenting credit was for ITV1s Haunted Halloween LIVE and following a variety of DVDs he later returned to television for the last three episodes of ITV2s Haunted Homes.
As a hobby, his interest for the paranormal began aged fifteen and this together with his passion for television production paved the way for his work as a writer/presenter. In 2007, his format for the six part series Greatest Haunts (originally called Haunted Ireland) was commissioned by BBC 1 N.I and together with Coco Television, medium Marion Goodfellow and the Northern Ireland Paranormal society, the series has proved to a major success.
